The School Board has four main responsibilities:

1. Set the district priorities 
2. Hire, support, and evaluate the superintendent
3. Oversee the finances and budget
4. Listen to needs of the staff, the parents, and community

 This year, there are eleven candidates; 3 incumbents and 8 challengers in Collier County. With a budget of roughly $1.2 billion, all Collier residents are impacted by their decisions.
