Greater Naples Chamber President & CEO Joins Prolific Initiative to Support its Workforce and Early Childhood Education

Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Kristina Park has officially joined The Children’s Movement of Florida’s “Bosses for Babies” initiative designed to engage business leaders in boosting their workforce and contributing to community prosperity through family-focused practices.

The Children’s Movement of Florida launched its “Bosses For Babies” initiative in 2020, for business leaders who support early childhood education, and family-focused practices to decrease employee stress and enhance well-being by permitting parents the time and space they need to support their children’s development. A recent study found companies that fully support working parents have an 86% reduction in parental turnover which results in increased loyalty and productivity.

“The Greater Naples Chamber recognizes our devoted team of professionals can be at their very best for our members, one another, and the organization when they can be fully focused on the opportunity in front of them,” President & CEO Kristina Park stated.  “This is best accomplished when they have the support and flexibility necessary to ensure their loved ones are cared for and supported.”

The mission of “Bosses for Babies” directly aligns with one of the Chamber’s five primary public policy pillars: early childhood education. The Chamber supports expanding access to high-quality, affordable childcare options in Southwest Florida and across the state, initiatives that incentivize childcare providers to offer infant care and non-traditional hours to better serve Florida workforce and encourage at-home providers to become registered childcare providers.

“We have barely scratched the surface of the ways in which we can enhance our environment and we look forward to joining this network of innovators across the state.  I welcome business across our community consider joining me in this important initiative,” Park added.

The Greater Naples Chamber’s vital Wake Up Naples! series will host guest speaker Zenani D. Johnson, MPA, Equality of Opportunity Coordinator for the Florida Chamber Foundation on February 28, 2024, 730AM-9AM at the Hilton Naples. She will provide an overview of the current childcare crisis, new initiatives, and proposed legislation, what the business community can do to help alleviate the issues and additional valuable information regarding early childhood education.
