At the Greater Naples Chamber, our Ambassadors play a vital role in welcoming new members, fostering connections, and supporting the business community. This month, we’re proud to spotlight two outstanding leaders who not only exemplify the Ambassador spirit—but also serve as our current Ambassador Co-Chairs: Michelle Borders and Kathy Beuttel. 

Michelle Borders:  

Michelle Borders has been an active and passionate member of the Chamber since 2004. Over the years, she’s held numerous leadership roles, including Board Member, Chair of the Small Business Council, and Ambassador—a title she’s held for more than a decade. Her dedication and contributions earned her recognition as Ambassador of the Year in 2019, Business of the Month in 2021, and the Chairman’s Award in 2023. 

Michelle is also a proud graduate of GAIN (2012) and Leadership Collier (2014) and has facilitated the Youth Leadership Collier Evaluation Committee since 2013. Her efforts to modernize the program’s selection process by transitioning it to the cloud have streamlined and enhanced access for everyone involved. 

Beyond her professional involvement, Michelle’s Chamber journey has also become incredibly meaningful on a personal level. In 2017, her son met his future wife through Youth Leadership Collier—making the Chamber a part of her family story. This year, Michelle became a proud Chamber grandma, as the couple recently welcomed their first baby! 

Kathy Beuttel:  

Kathy Beuttel has called Naples home since 2006. With over 40 years of experience in sales, telecommunications, advertising, and marketing, she brings a wealth of expertise to her current role as Advertising Account Manager at Naples Illustrated—a premier luxury lifestyle publication. 

Kathy joined the Chamber to forge deeper connections within the community and continue developing her leadership skills. She became an Ambassador in 2018, and her dedication and warmth quickly earned her the respect of her peers. She has proudly served as Ambassador Chair for the past four years and now shares that responsibility as Co-Chair alongside Michelle. 

Kathy’s favorite part of being involved in the Chamber is helping others feel seen, welcomed, and supported. Whether she’s greeting guests at events or mentoring new members, Kathy’s positivity and professionalism leave a lasting impression. 

Together, Michelle and Kathy represent the heart of the Chamber’s mission: to create a stronger, more connected business community. Their leadership, energy, and commitment inspire those around them—and remind us that giving back is at the core of meaningful growth.
