Join the Sea Turtle Conservation Night Party on Thursday, July 31, 5–8 PM at Ankrolab (3555 Bayshore Dr., Naples) for beer, cocktails, trivia, games, prizes, live music, a food truck and more! $1 from each Turtle Season beer and special cocktail benefits sea turtle protection at Rookery Bay Research Reserve. Loggerhead sea turtles, a threatened species, nest from May 1 through October 31 along Rookery Bay Research Reserve’s 110,000 acres, which stretch from Keewaydin Island through the Western Everglades and encompass 40 percent of Collier County's coastline. Friends of Rookery Bay funds sea turtle interns and program supplies such as cages to protect turtle eggs and hatchlings from predators. People or companies who adopt a nest get a tag on a cage acknowledging their support.
