The session lineup includes:

Session 1 (October 18th) – Cultural and Contextual Intelligences

Overview: “Cultural Intelligence is an outsider’s ability to interpret someone’s unfamiliar and ambiguous gestures the way that person’s compatriots would.” The purpose of this workshop is to introduce learners to CQ, as well as to both enhance one’s level of CQ and learn how to coach followers in managing cross-cultural teams.

Presenter – Jase Ramsey, PhD.

Session 2 (November 8th) – Cognitive Intelligence

Overview:  Cognitive intelligence refers to the mental capacity for reasoning, problem-solving, learning, and understanding complex concepts, and in the workplace, it plays a crucial role in decision-making, analyzing situations, and effectively performing tasks that require logical thinking and knowledge application. Cognitive ability tests (sometimes called IQ tests) have long been considered the best way to predict future job performance and training potential. This session will review the evidence for this perspective and when and why the use of these tests may not be the best solution for an organization.

Presenter – Bradley Brummel, PhD.

Session 3 (December 6th) – Emotional Intelligence

Overview: Emotional intelligence is your ability to recognize and understand emotions in yourself and others, and your ability to use this awareness to manage your behavior and relationships. The purpose of this workshop is to introduce learners to the value of emotional intelligence, their Emotional Quotient and provide strategies to enhance their capabilities.

Presenter: Gretchen Gurr, M.Ed.
