Position Overview:
The Event Manager will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing events that promote the Chamber’s mission, strengthen our business community, and enhance member engagement. This position will involve working closely with the Chamber team, volunteers, sponsors, and vendors to create exceptional events that provide value to Chamber members, potential clients, and the public.


Reports to: Chamber COO

Department: Greater Naples Chamber Events & Marketing Team

Interrelationships: Collaborates with all other Chamber staff, external businesses, chamber members.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:


  • Event Planning & Coordination: Manage the full lifecycle of Chamber events, including networking mixers, luncheons, educational seminars, signature events, and annual galas.


  • Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and maximizing ROI.


  • Vendor Relations: Source and negotiate contracts with venues, catering, entertainment, and other event suppliers.


  • Sponsorship & Partner Relations: Collaborate with potential and existing sponsors to create sponsorship packages, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term relationships.


  • Marketing & Promotion: Work with the marketing team to promote events through digital channels, social media, email campaigns, and print materials.


  • Event Execution: Oversee all logistics, from setup and registration to event breakdown, ensuring all aspects are executed seamlessly.


  • Volunteer & Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage event volunteers and temporary staff to ensure smooth event operations.


  • Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event debriefs, gather feedback, and analyze event performance to identify areas for improvement.

 

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event planning or management, preferably in a chamber of commerce, non-profit, or similar business-focused environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in event management software, Microsoft Office, and social media platforms.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle last-minute changes effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • A passion for community engagement and an understanding of the business landscape in the Naples area is a plus.

  • Monday to Friday
  • Full-Time
