Under the direction of the President & CEO, the LCF Director of Alumni Relations & Foundation Development represents the Leadership Collier Foundation (LCF) and supports all LCF Alumni Association events and initiatives. The Director Is responsible for establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with LCF Advisory Council to advance key strategic goals and initiatives. They will also play a crucial role in reinforcing the relationship between the LCF, the Chamber, and the community.
Reports to: President & CEO
Interrelationships: Collaborates with the CEO, all other Chamber staff, LCF Advisory Council, Community Stakeholders, and LCF Alumni.
Key Responsibilities:
Alumni Relations & Community Engagement
•Work with the CEO, LCF Advisory Council, and Alumni Association Chairs to advance LCF initiatives and strengthen collaborative efforts.
•Develop and implement strategies for alumni engagement and relationship management.
•Create a framework for measuring the impact of LCF programs.
•Oversee alumni engagement activities such as event planning, mentor matching, volunteer management, and leadership development opportunities.
•Promote partnerships with other organizations to enhance the relevance and impact of LCF programs within the community.
•Lead and coordinate the planning of special events such as the LCF Alumni Celebration Lunch
•Develop stakeholder investment opportunities and stewardship Alumni Awards & Recognition
•Plan and execute annual awards, including:
o LCF Volunteer of the Year
o LCF Legacy Leadership Award (Individual & Business)
o LCF Distinguished Alumni Award
o YLC Distinguished Alumni Award
• Manage alumni association committees and associated programs, including:
o LCF Marketing Committee
o LCF Matching Needs Committee
o LCF Events & Engagement Committee (e.g., Wine Down Wednesdays, Annual Holiday Party, Behind-the-Scenes Education Events)
o Leadership Lunch Committee
o Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee
Matching Needs & Community Trusteeship
• Create and manage LCF Alumni Association postings for matching needs opportunities and manage all data connected to the matching needs grant.
• Administer connections between LCF alumni and community leadership roles, including volunteerism and mentorship.
Finance & Fundraising
• Collaborate with the CEO to align with the LCF financial strategy, ensuring fundraising goals and event budgets are met.
• Develop and execute fundraising strategies, including donor cultivation, corporate sponsorships, and planned giving initiatives such as the annual dues campaign
• Lead donor stewardship efforts, including personalized outreach, recognition events, and impact reporting.
• Track and acknowledge donations through CRM system updates and donor correspondence.
• Work closely with the President & CEO, board, council members, and partner organizations to enhance fundraising efforts.
• Oversee program-related expenditures, ensuring alignment with budgetary guidelines.
• Assist in securing revenue through tuition collection, alumni contributions, event fees, grants, and sponsorships.
• Identify and pursue grant opportunities, overseeing submission and reporting processes.
Communication & Marketing
• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to increase alumni contributions and promote LCF events.
• Coordinate and create leadership-related content, including the monthly alumni newsletter, LCF blast emails, articles, social media posts, and promotional materials.
• Manage LCF Alumni social media pages and collaborate with the Chamber’s branding and messaging consistency.
• Oversee and maintain the accuracy of the alumni directory database and CRM system.
• Lead the data collection and production of the annual LCF Impact Report.
LCF Board and Advisory Council Support
• Serve as the staff liaison to the LCF Advisory Council, providing coordination and administrative support for meetings and strategic initiatives.
• Assist in recruiting and onboarding advisory council members, ensuring engagement in LCF's mission
Leadership Programs Oversight
• Supervise the LCF Programs Manager, providing strategic direction and performance evaluation in coordinating Leadership Collier, Associate Leadership Collier, and Youth Leadership Collier programs (LC, ALC, YLC) as well as Engage Collier.
• Ensure seamless integration between alumni engagement and program development to strengthen the LCF network.
Required Skills & Abilities:
• Extensive experience in nonprofit management, administrative duties, event planning, and fundraising.
• Proven ability to lead and enhance programs while maintaining their integrity.
• Strong organizational, communication, and public relations skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in managing and engaging teams and volunteers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database management, and financial tracking systems.
• Experience with the Leadership Collier Programs is preferred but not required.
Additional Information:
This position is essential for fostering the growth of the Leadership Collier Foundation and advancing the organization’s mission through alumni relations, community outreach, and effective program management. This role is expected to be aware and practice the LCF vision, mission, and translate these values consistently to class members and alumni. The Director will perform other duties as assigned by the President & CEO.
The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000
