Work-Based Learning Coordinator and Office Administrative Assistant (Full-Time) 

 

The Work-Based Learning Coordinator uses independent analysis and judgment to manage, coordinate, and provide exemplary career development and work-based learning services to our community. This position works in the Talent Initiatives department of the Greater Naples Chamber to enhance, support, and promote talent development efforts to increase employability skills and broaden awareness of local career paths in Collier County. This role will be a combination of work-based learning (20 hours per week) and serving the full chamber with general administrative needs (20 hours per week).   

 

Reports to: VP of Talent & Innovation and COO 

Department: Talent Initiatives 

Interrelationships: Collaborates with all other Chamber staff, external businesses, chamber members, and walk-ins. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: 

 

Work-Based Learning Coordinator: 

Community Engagement 

  • Research and understand employer recruiting strategies, job market trends, and occupational and career growth.   

  • Recruit and engage businesses in internship/work-based learning opportunities to build their local talent pipeline.   

  • Collaborate with marketing and brand engagement department to promote the work within Talent Initiatives; including press releases, blog posts and articles, resource guides, and presentation/marketing materials as needed. 

Programs and Events 

  • Respond to work-based learning requests, facilitate connections, and provide oversight.   

  • Organize, create schedules and agendas, and take minutes for Talent Development Committee meetings.  

  • Collaborate with community partners and ensure the quality of work-based learning programming and other talent development activities.  

  • Maintain database for tracking the efforts and outcomes for grant reporting purposes.  

  • Assist with work-based learning and other Chamber events including Youth Business Fair, Annual Meeting, ribbon cuttings, and other signature events.

  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team  

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites 

 

Chamber Administrative Assistant 

Front Office 

  • Greet walk-ins as they come and best direct them.  

  • Restock and organize visitor information and maintain common areas 

  • Read and analyze incoming emails, letters, and reports to determine their significance and distribute appropriately. 

  • Enter and maintain member/alumni and prospect data in CRM system. 

  • Answer and direct phone calls or take messages for appropriate parties. 

  • Perform general administrative duties such as but not limited to; filing, photocopying, taking and distributing meeting minutes, managing schedules, coordinating travel arrangements, scheduling appointments, ordering supplies, sorting and distributing correspondence and maintaining database records. 

 

Preferred Skills and Abilities: 

  • Administrative and communications experience;  

  • Strong organizational skills; 

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a professional manner; 

  • Establish and adhere to realistic timelines and budgets; 

  • Successfully maintain relationships with teams, volunteers, and co-workers; 

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and database management; 

  • Basic marketing experience will aid in this role.
