For more than three decades, St. Matthew’s House has been helping neighbors in need.

Our Core Purpose: As an expression of God’s love in Southwest Florida, we exist to ensure that no one experiencing hunger, homelessness or addiction is alone or without a pathway for their journey from crisis to contributor. Together with our partners and participants, we cultivate communities where people are progressively seen, accepted, challenged, and supported.

With our 1 purpose, we are working to resolve 3 issues through 5 pillars. The 3 issues are hunger, homelessness, and addiction, and the 5 pillars are Food Assistance, Homeless Shelters, Addiction Recovery, Transitional Housing, and Workforce Development.

To support our mission, we have a unique social enterprise model that allows St. Matthew’s House to be self-sustaining by earning revenue to offset the organization’s overhead costs. Our social enterprises include thrift stores, eCommerce, Delicious by Design catering, and LuLu’s Kitchen restaurant. Each purchase saves you money and does a world of good—directly contributing to funding our nonprofit programs.
