Naples, FL, -- August 12, 2025 – The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense agency, has recognized Barron Collier Companies (BCC) as a Patriotic Employer. The award honors organizations that provide outstanding and consistent support for employees serving in the National Guard and Reserve. BCC was nominated for the award by employee Jaclyn Canerdy, Land Development Manager, who serves in the US Air Force, Florida Air National Guard.

Canerdy has served in the 202^nd RED HORSE unit for the past seven years. The unit is mobilized prior to any hurricane and plays a critical role in search and rescue operations and emergency response services. “My career at BCC has coincided with half of my military service. The company has consistently supported my professional and military development, from allowing me to attend crucial engineering training multiple times a year to encouraging me to pursue additional opportunities,” she said. “This support extends to unexpected circumstances, as management has always been understanding when I've had to report for hurricane duty on short notice.”

Kim Gaide, a representative from the ESGR, visited BCC’s Naples-based headquarters and presented the Patriotic Employer award to Jaclyn Canerdy, alongside David Genson and their team member Nick Kouloheras, Senior Land Development Manager.
