David Lawrence Centers appoints Amanda Pearson as director of strategic partnerships
David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health, Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit behavioral health provider serving children, adults and families, is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Pearson as director of strategic partnerships.
As a member of the advancement team, Pearson will be responsible for developing and executing strategic partnerships that deepen relationships with DLC’s existing partners, identifying new opportunities, establishing innovative and entrepreneurial social enterprise initiatives, and securing resources that advance the mission of DLC and generate long-term sustainable impact.
“As Collier County continues to combat the worst mental health and substance use crisis in its history, we recognized the importance of creating a role that aligns our strategic partners, whether that is through our expansive referral network and community engagement initiatives, with our fellow not-for-profit organizations, or through our corporate engagement activities,” said Kimberly Dye, vice president of advancement at DLC. “Ms. Pearson’s expertise in these areas combined with her collaborative approach, entrepreneurial business strategies and ability to design innovative social enterprise opportunities, will leverage an expanded base of support for the vital mission of David Lawrence Centers. Amanda joins a robust advancement team made up of development, marketing and communications, and prevention and education professionals.”
Pearson previously served as the vice president with the Leadership Collier Foundation of the Greater Naples Chamber. In this role, she managed the LCF’s programming and initiatives focused on community leadership, mentorship and talent. Prior to joining the Chamber, Pearson, an experienced educator, held leadership roles at Royal Palm Academy in Naples, St. James Lutheran School in Chicago, and Catherine Cook School in Chicago.
She holds a bachelor of science degree from Ohio University and a master of arts degree from Florida Gulf University. She currently serves on the FGCU Water School Council, the United Arts Council and the Latinos 239 Foundation Board, and has been recognized as one of Naples Illustrated Top 100 Influential Business Leaders, Gulfshore Business’ 40 under 40, and a Naples Illustrated Rising Star. She is a graduate of the Leadership Collier Class of 2014 and Leadership Florida Connect Class 10.
“The mission of DLC is deeply personal to me, and one I have been supporting for the last decade,” said Pearson. “I believe partnerships are what provide hope and address Collier County’s most pressing needs, and I look forward to leveraging these partners to advance the DLC into its next, exciting chapter.”
