David Lawrence Centers launches adult Pathways to Healing Program

David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health, Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit behavioral health provider, is proud to announce the launch of the Pathways to Healing Program (PHP), an adult partial hospitalization program designed to meet the growing need for intensive behavioral health services in Collier County.

The Pathways to Healing Program will serve adults with behavioral health disorders requiring intensive day treatment to support their transition from inpatient hospitalization to traditional outpatient services. Structured day treatment provided by the program includes a variety of behavioral health services such as group therapy, individual psychotherapy, medication management, psychoeducation, psychiatric rehabilitation services, recreational and wellness therapies.

The program helps bridge a critical gap in DLC’s services, supporting individuals as they transition from active treatment to recovery. DLC already offers a similar program for young people between the ages of 13 and 17.

“Pathways to Healing is designed to meet people where they are in their recovery journey,” said Nancy Dauphinais, chief operating officer at DLC. “Many adults leaving inpatient care still need intensive support to maintain stability and continue healing. This program provides that vital bridge and helps adults regain stability, independence and purpose.”

The program is made possible in part by $375,000 in funding from Florida’s fiscal 2025-26 state budget, supported by Gov. Ron DeSantis, Sen. Kathleen Passidomo, Rep. Lauren Melo and the Florida Legislature. This support will directly impact DLC’s mission to deliver comprehensive healthcare to those in need as Collier County faces the worst mental health and substance use crisis in history.
