David Lawrence Centers receives grant from Arthrex to expand Wellness Institute programming
David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health, Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit behavioral health provider, is honored to announce it has received a grant from Arthrex. Funds from the grant will allow DLC to deliver prevention and education training through the DLC Wellness Institute.
“We are grateful to Arthrex for this generous support, which will allow the DLC Wellness Institute to expand programming for youth, parents and community members,” said Jessica Liria, director of community wellness and impact at David Lawrence Centers. “As a dedicated community partner, Arthrex recognizes the important role DLC plays in Collier County. This funding strengthens our educational efforts and ensures more individuals have access to the tools and resources that support positive mental health.”
The grant will also allow the DLC Wellness Institute to expand programming focused on infant mental health for medical providers, early learning professionals and parents. Nurturing core life skills such as connection, adaptability and emotional awareness during the first five years of life strengthens children’s ability to learn, relate and thrive throughout their entire lives.
“Arthrex is proud to support David Lawrence Centers through this grant as they work to strengthen mental wellness across our community,” said Arthrex Family Office and Corporate Giving and Operations Manager Suzanne Pahl-Boland. “Their focus on prevention and education reflects our core value of Making People Better, and we value our continued partnership in advancing that initiative.”
Launched early this year, the DLC Wellness Institute represents a reimagined approach to prevention, education and community wellness services. Through interactive presentations, training sessions, workshops and wellness initiatives, the Institute equips community members with tools and resources to strengthen emotional well-being and build resilience, mitigating the risk of behavioral health concerns like substance use and suicide. In 2025, DLC’s prevention and education initiatives reached approximately 13,000 community members.
For more than 55 years, DLC has been committed to ensuring behavioral health care is available to everyone in need through education, prevention, intervention and treatment. DLC delivers care throughout the community through six distinct centers of operation, including mental health, addiction recovery, emergency services, awareness and prevention, virtual care, and children and young adults.
