David Lawrence Centers receives grant from Arthrex to support access to care, holistic programs
David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health, Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit behavioral health provider, is honored to announce it has received a grant from Arthrex. Funds from the grant will allow DLC to continue expanding access to care in Collier County, as well as support its holistic wellness programs.
“We are incredibly grateful for this generous grant, which will help ensure families in our community have access to the tools and resources they need to improve their mental health and well-being,” said Kimberly Dye, vice president of advancement at DLC. “As a dedicated community partner, Arthrex understands the important role DLC plays in the lives of countless Collier County residents. This funding will allow us to reach more people with our life-changing services.”
The grant supports DLC’s effort to expand access to care in Collier County. A key component of the organization’s Hope for Collier: Building a Stronger Mind Together initiative, DLC aims to create a $13.5 million fund dedicated to expanding access to vital mental health and substance use services for individuals in Collier County, regardless of their ability to pay.
The grant also benefits DLC’s holistic wellness programs, which treat the whole person and work in conjunction with traditional behavioral health treatment. The programs include movement and meditation, animal therapies and expressive arts therapies, and are designed to help clients better understand themselves and enhance healthy communication skills.
“Arthrex is pleased to provide this grant to support the David Lawrence Center in their effort to improve mental wellness in our community,” said Lisa Gardiner, the director of corporate communications at Arthrex. “Their commitment to providing accessible, expansive behavioral health services to Collier County residents aligns with our core value of Making People Better, and we look forward to continuing to foster this mission as a dedicated community partner.”
For more than 55 years, DLC has been committed to ensuring behavioral health care is available to everyone in need through education, prevention, intervention and treatment. DLC delivers care throughout the community through six distinct centers of operation, including mental health, addiction recovery, emergency services, awareness and prevention, virtual care, and children and young adults.
