Local Margaritaville properties achieve Autism Double-Checked Certifications
Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach and Compass Hotel By Margaritaville Naples are helping to make paradise more inclusive for everyone. April is Autism Awareness Month and both Margaritaville Beach Resort and Compass Naples have earned the Autism Double-Checked (ADC) Certification, reinforcing their commitment to inclusive travel, accessibility and neurodiverse-friendly hospitality.
The Autism Double-Checked Certification program is designed to help hotels, resorts, airlines and travel destinations better serve neurodiverse travelers. This achievement means that all of the resorts’ team members have undergone a specialized two-part training that equips them with the skills to better assist guests on the spectrum.
With this training, team members are better prepared to provide patience and understanding when guests need extra time, flexibility or explanation; clear communication and guidance for guests who may benefit from visual cues or step-by-step instructions; awareness of sensory sensitivities, with accommodations like quieter spaces and adjusted lighting or noise when possible; and empathy and proactive assistance.
Additionally, Margaritaville Beach Resort and Compass Naples offer comprehensive Visitor Guides on the Autism Double-Checked website that provide families with sensory-friendly information, safety measures and planning resources for a seamless stay.
This initiative is part of the brand’s ongoing effort to create a travel experience where every guest feels understood, valued and welcome – not just in April, but all year long.
