London Bay Homes’ recently completed private residence in Cambridge Park blends luxury and lifestyle in one of Naples’ top locations
After two of her golf friends purchased homes in Cambridge Park, Susan Hendrix decided she also needed to investigate the gated boutique enclave of only 17 luxury estates built by London Bay Homes. Susan and her husband, Gene McNeeley, were impressed by the Naples community, its quality lifestyle and the available Leighton floor plan. At 2,900 square feet, it was the perfect size and afforded the same low-maintenance lifestyle they were accustomed to in their 13-year-old condominium in a nearby neighborhood.
The foundation had just been poured and the home’s finishes were pre-selected by London Bay Homes’ world-class interior design and client development team to speed up the building process, which the couple appreciated. They loved the design and the ease of the Leighton’s three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath floor plan, an open concept blending the great room, kitchen and dining room into a large main living area while providing privacy for bedrooms.
“We jumped in the car to visit Cambridge Park, saw the plans and just about bought that day,” Susan recalled. “It’s attractive and warm with a 13-foot ceiling in the great room. We went to the design center to see the finishes.”
The couple, full-time Florida residents with a second home in Michigan’s Bloomfield Hills, appreciated the Leighton’s planned light white oak flooring, the kitchen’s designer cabinetry and the stainless-steel Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances. While previewing the custom-selected quartz and Dekton countertops, decorative tile and backsplash accents and other finish details at the comprehensive design studio, it was evident London Bay Homes represented excellence.
“London Bay Homes understands quality and builds stunning homes people can enjoy,” said Susan.
With the finishes and foundation already in place, the couple breezed through the year-long construction process, buying in May 2023 and moving in by late May 2024. Their new home was on time and on budget – a novelty given Susan and Gene’s prior experience building homes in Michigan and Hilton Head, S.C.
“We’ve built five other homes and have never come across a building company that’s so organized, disciplined and on time. It was a wonderful process,” said Susan. “One of the issues with building is it’s hard to stay on budget. We had no upcharges with London Bay Homes. They really try to accommodate requests and make sure you’re happy and comfortable with what’s going on. By knowing what they’re doing they are able to always stay a step ahead of the game.”
Susan and Gene were apprised of their new home’s progress while in Michigan, receiving regular updates with construction photos and information. Their new Cambridge Park home reflects their tastes, lifestyle and a “great building experience.”
“We met a number of people who built single-family homes with London Bay Homes and everything we heard was very reassuring. They all had a tremendous experience,” said Susan. “I really can’t say enough good things about the company. They respect you.”
Leveraging over three decades of building in Southwest Florida’s unique coastal environment, London Bay Homes quality also translates into top-level construction and building processes. Every estate in Cambridge Park features concrete block construction on the first and second floors, the highest-rated impact windows and doors and top-tier storm-rated materials, products and construction practices. Enhanced waterproofing systems create a stronger building envelope for increased durability, dependability and energy efficiency.
Cambridge Park’s showcase estates are offered in limited release. Currently available are the four-bedroom, four-bath Martinque with 3,564 square feet and a three-car garage plus the community’s final Leighton floor plan featuring three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. Both homes feature spacious open floor plans, custom pools and extensive covered lanais with outdoor kitchens for enjoying Southwest Florida’s coveted alfresco lifestyle.
All homes include pool, lawn and landscaping care for an easy low-maintenance lifestyle.
