Pelican Isle Yacht Club hosted the Third Annual Florida Council of Yacht Clubs (FCYC) West Coast Pickleball Tournament on November 15, 2025. The event brought together players from across Florida’s West Coast for a full day of spirited, competitive play on the PIYC Courts in Naples.

PIYC is one of 36 private, Member-owned yacht clubs that have been selected as Members of the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs. Established in 1960, the FCYC is a respected force recognized as a potent organization of dedicated yachtsmen. The Council’s mission is to encourage the sport of yachting, promote the science of seamanship, and provide for the entertainment of its Members.

This annual Inter-Club tournament welcomes Members from FCYC’s 22 Member Clubs, offering Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed Doubles divisions as part of the broader FCYC Inter-Club Competition lineup. PIYC was proud to serve as this year’s host site, providing a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for participants and spectators alike.

We were especially excited to have strong participation from our own PIYC Members, who played with exceptional energy, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the day. Their dedication and enthusiasm made a standout impression, and we are proud to recognize their success on the courts. PIYC celebrates the following Members for their outstanding tournament results: 

• Men’s Division – Gold Medal: Dave MacKinnon & Scott Gregory 

• Women’s Division – Gold Medal: Marilyn Davis & Liz Gregory 

• Mixed Division – Silver Medal: Doug & Heidi Becker
