Presented annually during the Southeast Building Conference, the coveted awards are among the highest distinctions in the building industry, celebrating excellence across 12 southeastern states and the eastern Caribbean. Romanza Interior Design received a Silver Award for best interior design as well as Grand Aurora Awards for best kitchen and bathroom design.

Designed by Senior Design Director Jennifer Stevens, the estate’s award-winning home is a masterclass in contemporary luxury and functionality. Stevens curated a contemporary design in an approachable and relatable way, with strong interior architecture lines softened by curving, organic furniture silhouettes, wood and texture for warmth, depth and richness. The palette pairs taupe with rich navy, warm earth tone neutrals, black, brass, bronze and deep cooper accents, plus elm and walnut.

Ideal for those who love to entertain, the kitchen features custom white lacquered Poliform cabinets, a long elm island with a built-in dining table and eye-catching gold-veined Calacatta marble in the table’s dramatic waterfall countertop and the stove backsplash.

The kitchen offers Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, incorporates a bar and conversation area into its open floor plan and has a fully equipped butler’s pantry.

The estate’s master bathroom is a spa-like retreat that caters to the luxury client. Its contemporary aesthetic emphasizes clean lines and an elegant palette tinged with luxurious gold finishes and the gray, black and golden ochre veining of 48-by-48-inch honed and polished porcelain tile set with minimal seams. The floating walnut vanities, stained to highlight wood grain and match interior doors, add texture and warmth.

The bathroom also presented a design opportunity for an expansive custom Poliform boutique walk-in closet. Reminiscent of a high-end boutique, it’s customized with a vanity table, smoked glass doors and wood built-ins offering a variety of storage solutions, displays and functions.
