STARability Foundation invites community to “Reveling with Ravel” spring Music Academy recital on May 20

The students and staff of STARability Foundation’s Music Academy invite the community to a special afternoon of music, creativity and celebration at their spring recital, “Reveling with Ravel,” from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, at the Sharon and Timothy Ubben Signature Event Space at Artis—Naples.

This free, public performance will showcase Music Academy participants as they present original and inspired pieces reflecting the life, interests and artistic influence of renowned composer Maurice Ravel. The recital highlights not only the students’ musical talents, but also their personal growth and dedication throughout the year.

Registration and additional details are available at STARability.org/upcoming-events.

The STARability Music Academy is a one-of-a-kind program designed specifically for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities who have a strong interest in music. Through personalized instruction and a comprehensive curriculum, including instrumental training, music theory, songwriting and ensemble work, the program fosters creativity, confidence and meaningful social connections.

Now in its second year at STARability Foundation, the Music Academy continues to grow as a powerful platform for self-expression and community engagement. Past performances have drawn enthusiastic audiences and celebrated the transformative impact of music education, with recital events bringing together more than 100 guests to witness participants’ achievements.

“This recital is a joyful celebration of our participants’ abilities and artistic journeys,” said Madison Nehls, chief program officer of STARability Foundation. “We are proud to provide a space where individuals can explore their passion for music, build confidence and share their talents with the community.”

In addition to performances, the Music Academy is available for bookings, with proceeds helping to support STARability’s life-changing programs for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
