STARability Foundation receives over $100,000 from inaugural TwinEagles charity golf tournament
An inaugural charity golf tournament hosted by Barb and Craig Fike, with presenting sponsor Radiant Wealth Management of Raymond James, at The Club at TwinEagles recently raised more than $100,000 to support STARability Foundation and its innovative and transformative programming for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
“We are incredibly honored to have been the beneficiary of this first annual charity golf tournament and want to give special thanks to Barb and Craig Fike, Radiant Wealth Management of Raymond James and The Club at TwinEagles,” said Karen Govern, CEO of STARability Foundation. “Participants enjoyed a beautiful day on the Talon Course, and we were thrilled to bring together our generous supporters for an afternoon of golf, camaraderie and community impact – all in support of our mission to transform lives. Thanks to the incredible turnout and heartfelt support, your involvement not only helped us raise vital funds, but also helped raise awareness for our organization and the amazing people we serve.”
Nearly 140 golfers comprising 36 enthusiastic golf groups took to the course to vie for the coveted STARability Cup. The exciting tournament offered a shotgun start and featured cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and an award ceremony following the 18-hole tournament. The winning team, The Master’s, included foursome Dr. Chris Bryant, Karen Bryant, Bruce Shaw and Becky Shaw. The charity golf tournament will be held annually, with the 2026 event planned for Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
Barb and Craig Fike extend their heartfelt appreciation to the sponsors, players and volunteers who made the event possible and contributed to raising funds that will directly benefit STARability and its participants.
“We are beyond grateful for the generosity of our TwinEagles community,” said Craig Fike. “Hosting this event was not just about the game – it was about uniting people to make a real difference. Seeing everyone come together in support of STARability was truly inspiring.”
Added Barb Fike, “Giving back through golf has been a passion of ours, and witnessing the impact of this event reinforces the power of coming together for good.”
