Sunshine Ace Hardware has elevated four associates to leadership roles as store managers at locations in Southwest Florida.

The Naples-based company has promoted Adolfo Lopez to store manager at the new location in The Marketplace at Pelican Bay in Naples, which is expected to open this fall. Additionally, Reiner van Dinten was named manager of the Downtown Naples store, Matt Kurtz is the new manager of the Bonita Springs store and Paul Forte is now manager of the Golden Gate location.

Lopez began working at Sunshine Ace Hardware in 2022 as an assistant manager at the Bonita Springs location. An Estero native, Lopez has more than four decades of retail management experience for several supermarket chains as well as a rural lifestyle retailer. As an opening store manager at Pelican Bay, Lopez will partner with Sunshine Ace Hardware's human resources team to recruit, interview, hire and train dozens of full- and part-time team members. Once the store opens, his duties include supervising associates, developing work schedules, managing inventory flow, providing a safe environment for customers and associates, and ensuring that residential and commercial customers receive the exceptional service that has defined the Sunshine Ace Hardware brand since its founding in 1958.

Sunshine Ace Hardware hired van Dinten in 2023 as assistant store manager for the Golden Gate location before promoting him to store manager at the East Naples location. Then, he returned to Golden Gate as store manager. van Dinten's prior experience includes leadership roles within the landscape construction, irrigation and supply industry.

Kurtz joined Sunshine Ace Hardware in 2017 as a part-time cashier, rising through the ranks as a supervisor, assistant store manager and store manager. He previously was store manager for two years at the East Naples location and four years at the Downtown Naples store. Kurtz is a former recipient of Sunshine Ace Hardware's Don Q. Wynn Associate of the Year Award, a top honor given to an associate who best embodies the company's core values. An Army veteran, Kurtz studied business administration at Robert Morris University.

Forte is a native of Scotland, where he worked as a journalist at a magazine before moving to the U.S. He managed high-volume Walgreens stores in Miami and South Carolina before relocating to Southwest Florida. Although no managerial roles were available at the time, Forte joined Sunshine Ace Hardware in 2024 and trained at the company's stores at Founders Square in North Naples and the newly opened Ave Maria location, accepting a role as a B2B account executive.
