Sunshine Ace Hardware raises nearly $6K through Miracle Bucket Sale

Generous Sunshine Ace Hardware and Crowder Bros. Ace Hardware customers donated $5,870 to support pediatric health care through the company’s Miracle Bucket Sale, a three-day promotion to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network.

From Aug. 1-3, customers could donate $5 or more in exchange for a specially marked five-gallon Ace Hardware bucket to use as a shopping basket. In return, shoppers earned a 20% discount on nearly everything they could fit inside.

The $5,870 raised in 2025 represents a 32% increase over last year’s fundraising total.

“Although our area’s economy is strong, there are still local families struggling to make ends meet,” said Michael Wynn, president of Sunshine Ace Hardware and Crowder Bros. Ace Hardware. “Many of us are one medical emergency aware from financial struggles, and Children’s Miracle Network ensures that sick and injured children in our region receive the care they need and deserve.”

Fifteen Sunshine Ace Hardware and Crowder Bros. Ace Hardware stores participated in this year's Miracle Bucket Sale.

Donations made at Sunshine Ace Hardware stores in Collier, Lee and Charlotte counties support Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida in Fort Myers. Donations at Sunshine Ace Hardware in Pinellas County and Crowder Bros. Ace Hardware stores in Manatee County support Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg. Both hospitals are members of Children’s Miracle Network, a nonprofit organization that helps fund critical life-saving treatments, health care services, innovative research, vital pediatric medical equipment and child life services.

Since declaring Children’s Miracle Network as its primary charitable partner in December 2019, Sunshine Ace Hardware and Crowder Bros. Ace Hardware have raised $488,052 through a series of successful fundraising campaigns and initiatives.
