The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax assistance to individuals and families who qualify, those with low to moderate incomes (annual income of $66,000 or less). Trained volunteers provide help with preparing and filing federal tax returns, ensuring that participants can access valuable tax credits and refunds.

In addition to the assistance provided, VITA also presents volunteer opportunities for those interested in giving back to their communities. Volunteers receive training in tax preparation and can gain valuable skills while making a difference in the lives of others. Key Volunteer roles are Site Coordinator, Greeter, Tax Preparer or Quality Reviewer.
