Warrior Homes of Collier announces distinguished guest speaker for its 2025 Hope & Honor Gala

Warrior Homes of Collier is scheduled to host its 2025 Hope & Honor Gala dinner and auction this fall, featuring retired U.S. Marine Corps LtGen John F. Sattler as its first-time distinguished guest speaker. The annual event will take place on Nov. 7 at the Naples Yacht Club.

Sattler has dedicated over 37 years to serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, bringing a wealth of experience in leadership, command and staff roles, jointness, interagency coordination, strategic planning, congressional liaison, strategic communication and team building.

Sattler served as the Director of Strategic Plans and Policy on the Joint Staff from 2006 until his retirement in 2008. Prior to joining the Joint Staff, he was the Commanding General of the First Marine Expeditionary Force, as well as Commander, Marine Corps Forces Central Command from 2004 to 2006. During this period, he commanded all forces in Al Anbar Provence in Iraq from September 2004 through March 2005.

He also served three years as an acquisition officer and four years as the Marine Corps Congressional Liaison Officer to the House of Representatives. In retirement, he served for 12 years on the board of directors for the Semper Fi and America's Fund veterans charity. He also had the opportunity to hold the distinguished chair of leadership at the U.S. Naval Academy from 2010 until 2017.

"We're honored to have such an esteemed member of our armed services at our gala as our first-ever guest speaker," said Dale Mullin, a retired Vietnam veteran, founder and president of Warrior Homes of Collier. "He understands the issues our veterans are dealing with, and we appreciate his support of our organization."
