Warrior Homes of Collier receives $5,000 grant from First Foundation Bank

Warrior Homes of Collier, a local nonprofit dedicated to eradicating veteran homelessness in Collier County, has received a grant for $5,000 from the First Foundation Bank. The grant will assist the nonprofit's efforts to provide supportive housing for local veterans.

Warrior Homes of Collier operates six Naples residences for local veterans: Alpha House, a short-term, transitional home for those in recovery from substance use issues; Delta House, a supportive housing complex with 10 apartments for up to 20 veterans; as well as Bravo, Charlie, Echo and Foxtrot Houses, which serve seniors on fixed incomes.

In addition to temporary housing solutions, Warrior Homes connects veterans with support services like mental health counseling and peer support as well as educational opportunities that offer college scholarships.

"We're very appreciative of First Foundation Bank for helping us get closer to our goal of ending veteran homelessness in Collier County," said Dale Mullin, a retired Vietnam veteran, founder and president of Warrior Homes Collier. "With their support, and many other organizations like First Foundation Bank, we are able to assist veterans in getting back on their feet and moving forward in the next chapter of their lives."

First Foundation Bank focuses on promoting economic stability, enhancing neighborhood growth and providing essential services, with locations in Florida, California, Nevada, Texas and Hawaii. By investing in these key areas, it aims to create opportunities and choices for healthier communities. First Foundation Bank's philanthropic giving has supported local nonprofits in fulfilling their mission and carrying out their programs and services within their communities.

First Foundation Bank previously supported Warrior Homes of Collier by financing the organization's Delta House, which allowed them to house 20 homeless veterans.

Of the charitable contributions made to the organization, 95% of the funds received are used directly to support its mission, with only 5% allocated to administrative expenses. To learn more about Warrior Homes of Collier, become a sponsor or donate, visit WWCollier.org.
