Youth Haven awarded $70,000 in grants from the Collier Community Foundation to expand support for children and teens in need

Youth Haven, Collier County’s only emergency and residential shelter for abused and neglected children and teens ages 6 to 21, has been awarded grants totaling $70,000 from the Collier Community Foundation for fiscal year 2026 to support its mission of providing home, hope and healing for youth throughout Southwest Florida.

“We are deeply grateful to the Collier Community Foundation for its continued investment in Youth Haven and in the well-being of our community’s most vulnerable children and teens,” said Linda Goldfield, CEO of Youth Haven. “These grants strengthen our ability to deliver trauma-informed care and critical support services, from mental health treatment to transitional housing, ensuring that young people in crisis have the stability, resources and encouragement they need to heal and build a brighter future.”

The nonprofit received $60,000 through four grants to expand its trauma-informed, holistic mental health services. The funding will strengthen therapeutic care through advanced trauma assessments, enhanced staff training and upgrades to case management systems, ensuring youth receive individualized, coordinated support that promotes healing, resilience and long-term stability.

Youth Haven was also awarded a $10,000 grant to support Rob’s Cottage, the nonprofit’s 24-hour transitional living program for unaccompanied homeless teens ages 16 to 21. Grant funding will help cover essential operational costs, including program supplies and materials, utilities and facility-related expenses, and life-skills, academic and enrichment activities that prepare teens for independent living.

Youth Haven serves as a dedicated community partner and regional leader in providing a safe haven of home, hope and healing for children and teens in need throughout Southwest Florida. For more information, visit youthhavenswfl.org or call 239-774-2904.
