Baby Basics of Collier County

Baby Basics of Collier County

Baby Basics is looking for a volunteer site manager to lead our new site at Guadalupe Center in Immokalee.

Here is a brief description about our mission and our program, as well as what we are looking for:

Baby Basics of Collier County

Our mission is to provide and distribute diapers and kindness to babies of low-income, working families in Collier County and Bonita Springs.

•   We fundraise in order to purchase diapers by the truckload.

•   Families are screened and referred to our program by local agencies (at least one parent must be working, income cannot exceed WIC guidelines, and they cannot be receiving government or state cash assistance).

•   Once a month, qualified families come to the closest distribution site to pick up a free, month supply of diapers.

•   Volunteers greet the families, help them select the proper size and provide information about the next distribution and other opportunities for supportive services.

A month’s supply of free diapers allows families to spend their limited resources on food, medicine, or other necessities.  Babies have a better chance to thrive because they are dry and comfortable, and the entire family feels the impact.

Baby Basics' Volunteer Need for Guadalupe Center in Immokalee,

Site manager. The site manager keeps records of the families, and maintains communication with both Baby Basics and the families to ensure adequate diaper supply, paperwork, and oversees monthly distributions.

Location: Guadalupe Center - Van Otterloo Family Campus for Learning

3655 Westclox Street Immokalee, FL 34142

The first distribution will take place on January 17th at 5:00 p.m.,  then every 3rd Tuesday monthly at 5:00 p.m.
