The non-profit Friends of Rookery Bay seeks diverse board member candidates who love the outdoors and are committed to preserving and protecting our coastal environment. The Friends support education, conservation and research at the 110,000-acre Rookery Bay Research Reserve through advocacy, outreach, marketing, fundraising and volunteer recruitment (RookeryBay.org).

The ideal candidate will help drive strategic plans to maximize the Friends’ support of the Reserve; engage with staff, members, donors and volunteers; attend programs, events and eco-tours; participate in at least one committee; financially contribute to the best of their ability; serve as an advocate for Rookery Bay.
